Taeko received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Michigan State University. Her basic approach to counseling utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She places great emphasis on establishing a positive and genuine working relationship with each individual client. To this end she integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a Person Centered approach.

Taeko received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Michigan State University. She worked as a school counselor in elementary and high schools in Michigan State. She returned to Tokyo in 2002 where she continued post-graduate studies and gained the required two years of experience necessary to take the examinations to qualify as a professional Clinical Psychologist in Japan.
Taeko's basic approach to counseling utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She helps her clients regain their will and confidence in solving each individual issue they are facing and helps them to develop strategies to cope with and manage the cognitive and emotional problems they have. Taeko places great emphasis on establishing a positive and genuine working relationship with each individual client. To this end, and to ensure her clients can achieve long lasting and effective solutions to the problems in their lives, she integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) with a Person Centered Counseling (PCC) approach.
Taeko specializes in assisting people who are experiencing unreasonable stress, anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, couples counseling, international marriage counseling, personal relationship problems and multicultural counseling. She is bilingual and works in English and Japanese.
